I have taken the full plunge! I have gone Gluten Free not just Gluten "lite" I am also Lactose intolerant...this helped me decide to move forward. Well that and I keep getting sick.
It is easy to think that gluten free people are "extreme" to not understand the necessity or the passion that we approach our daily lives well with such extreme devotion almost fanaticism that it is "scary" and often the punch line in jokes.
What most people don't understand is gluten is not just a thing in pasta or bread it is often used in a wide variety of products: lets see lipstick, lotion and medicine. Going Gluten Free is not just a dietary choice it encompass all aspects of your life.
Food products are more expensive. It is not like you can buy "store" brand! Nor can you stop in well Duncan Doughnut an grab a quick bit to eat on the car while you are driving. DD doesn't offer gluten free!
I have started to pack "snack" bags of things. I also do my best to keep candy, snacks, cookies and a variety of treats on hand. Unlike the average American I can not run into 7-eleven and grab a candy when I crave one. For me it is a ride across town to either Whole Foods or Chamberlin's.
The internet-online shopping have proven to be addictive to me. I have found some wonderful bloggers who share alot of information. So nice to have a network of individuals who share.

Moving foward
Well partners, I have decided that I am just tired...of...well it all, tired of feeling stressed out, of feeling exhausted, of being ache and sore but most of tired of not feeling like an active, productive, participator partner in my family. So I am making some changes.
After reading tons of information regarding food allergies, about food intolerance and discovering that my digestive issues seem to be circling around each other and that they all link up, and lead back to references about gluten intolerance to have myself Gluten Free by the New Year if not sooner.
My dear husband is going to pull his hair out and I may go through "bagel-anonymous" really a toasted bagel with butter (plain bagel) is my weakness.. I am good without doughnuts, can go with out a sandwich, enjoy rice crackers and 'alternative" pastas but a really fresh, nice golden brown-toasted bagel is something I have difficulty passing up.
I think that is why I have been craving them lately..I decided to go gluten free and haven't found an alternative that "fills" the void yet.
